A quick BrushUp before Season 4, Episode 15: Enter Flashtime

Here is the ~official~ episode description for tonight’s episode:

“When a nuclear bomb detonates in downtown Central City, Barry, Jesse Quick and Jay Garrick slow down time by entering Flashtime. As everyone in the city is frozen, the three speedsters push themselves to the breaking point to save the city and everyone in it.”

  • Last week’s “Subject 9” showed us a glimpse at the old Flash—the one that the writers promised us would be back after last season’s terribly depressing arc of Iris dying and Barry disappearing. I was sure the Happy Flash we were promised was a flash in the pan because of Barry’s stint in prison. But, it was just that. A stint. Barry’s back and attempting to be better than ever.
  • The show itself has seemed to be directing us to focus on Ralph, the haphazard new main character that I have only come to not hate over the last episode. Mainly because of this quote:
    • Ralph: I don’t know, guys. I feel like if I just followed her into that hall and just gave her one of those ‘Hey look’ inspirational talks, I could probably get her to stay.
Cisco: Then, what are you still doing here?
Ralph: Sorry, I didn’t know if you guys drew straws for this or something…

Anyway, it seems as if DeVoe is going to attempt to capture and definitely kill Ralph in order to take his powers sometime soon. When that will happen is the real question. We should watch out for this in the upcoming episode.

  • Jessie Quick will be back! I’ve always been a fan of her.
  • Hm, I can’t say I really missed old man Jay Garrick, but we’ll see how this goes down!
  • Other than that, there is not much more to BrushUp on! I am looking forward to tonight’s episode and more potential hilarious Cecile and Harry scenes, or just Cecile in general. It looks like the rest of this season will be focused on trying to hunt down the rest of the Bus Metas and “protect” them… although we saw what that did to CowGirl last episode.
  • Grant Gustin himself has teased this episode as being one of his favorites, and has hinted at a very emotional scene at the end with Iris. I’m excited to see if I will agree with him!
